Review of Aftershock (2012) by Felipe V — 12 May 2013
I know this movie is getting a bad rep, but I found it pretty enjoyable. Is it a low budget B-Movie? Yes. Is it up to par with some of the other things Roth has been in involved in? No. But there are some nice surprises to be had. I have always found that horror movies are at their best in the wake of the unknown, or impending doom. How people react to their surroundings/situations is always more frightening to me (A la "The Mist") then any murderer, ghost or alien. What people are capable of is terrifying.
If you are looking for some horror movie fare, that is a step above Sci-Fy Channel, and most recent remakes... Give it a whirl.
