Review of After the Wedding (2006) by Margaret J — 11 Oct 2008
Interesting story with clichés aplenty: the hero was a philandering druggie in his youth, but is now redeemed and looking after Indian orphans; the new husband is unfaithful immediately after the wedding; the older husband, knowing he is dying, ensures his wife and adopted daughter have a new man to look after them once he is gone.
Groan. And I am not sure that the morality of using international aid to do the latter is sufficiently questioned.
