Review of After the Wedding (2006) by Leo R — 08 Mar 2010
Another good foreign film, this time coming from Denmark, After the Wedding is a gripping drama that stays with you and makes you think thanks to the almost flawless direction and strong performances from the entire cast.
This is a beautifully shot movie, the camera work is really good and artsy, like most of the movies that are made in the old continent.
Storywise, the movie is not that original but it doesn't fall on the overly familiar topics. It does deal with really deep issues like family, infidelity, life, death and all the kind of things that occur on dramas, but the exception here is that it is beautifully done.
So if you are an action/war/sci-fi buff this feature maybe not for you but if you enjoy good dramas with beautiful women involved, you may want to look for this one.
