Review of After the Sunset (2004) by James C — 12 Jun 2008
Went into this movie not expecting more than an entertaining caper and that's exactly what it is. Pierce Brosnan, only just post-James Bond, lights up the screen in a role as a jewel thief, swaggering around like an amalgam of Bond and Thomas Crown and clearly enjoying the limelight.
Salma Hayek sizzles on screen as always although their love affair is not quite as convincing as it could be. Woody Harrelson is suitably comic as the fed on Brosnan's trail and Don Cheadle and Naomie Harris (from Pirates of the Caribbean) make up a fine supporting cast.
