Review of After the Sunset (2004) by Jeff V — 31 Jul 2010
Jewel thieving couple Max and Lola retire to the Caribbean but after several months the FBI agent they've mocked in the past arrives to keep an eye on Max due to the planned arrival of a rare diamond, third of a set of which the couple has already stolen the other two.
Max claims to be retired. Lola tells him he better be retired, or else. Local wannabe kingpin gets involved too. Cat and mouse game ensues, although it just kind of ambles along. In the end of course the diamond does get stolen - but by who? It's a diversion for an hour and a half.
I think if I paid money to see it in a theater I would rate it lower.
