Review of After the Sunset (2004) by Your Friend — 19 Oct 2008
Don't expect too much with this one. Fairly ridiculous cat & mouse style caper, with Pierce Brosnan and Woody Harrelson just about coming away with any type of dignity. Don Cheadle, who I really like is hopelessly mis-cast as a mobster.
A couple of amusing moments aside, and some James Bond-esque gagetry bits it's about as lame as they come. Ironically, the film features a scene where Brosnan lends Woody a copy of 'To Catch A Thief'. It's telling you something... watch the Hitchcock film starring Cary Grant instead. It's miles, miles better.
