Review of After Porn Ends (2012) by Kim B — 29 May 2013
Interesting subject matter, but kind of chaotic format with no clear message. I half felt like the documentary wanted u to feel sorry for how marginalized porn stars are. Call me crazy but I don't really feel that bad for them or ppl in similar professions like ex strippers-it comes with the territory.
Just bc u watch porn or go to a strip club doesn't mean u want to employ someone like that or hang out with them-sorry. That lady with the huge lips uh I think she looks like a porn star so it's not hard to figure out who she is if she really wants to be anonymous and work in another industry she prob should change back to looking normal.
Of course it sucks she had cancer but I didn't feel bad about her not fitting in. I thought it was interesting that almost all the guys didn't regret doing porn and most of the women did-even those who liked it at the time probably bc it's not ok in r society for women to be so promiscuous yet.
It seems to me like the porn industry has gone down in alot of ways from the glory days of the classics-now it's all just shock n gonzo films. Chrissy Morgan always creeped me out for some reason n I could never watch anything with her in it n now I know why-she was really f*ed up then.
I think women r more easily taken advantage of in the industry so u have to come in smart n know your boundaries, unlike some ppl who go into it a mess n come out more of a mess. Mary Carey lol she's funny scary that she got 10th place for governor.
Funny how most of them didn't plan on going into porn it just kind of was like the next logical step for them in their career choices.
