Impressive debut by Franco is minimalist yet extremely real and disturbing without falling into common places. More indie french thriller than your run of the mill Mexican movie, Tessa Norvind and Hernán Mendoza drive the movie with restrained performances yet extremely powerful emotions.
One of the best pieces of Mexican cinema in a long time. The absence of a musical score and few dialog gives it extra points. Pretty disturbing stuff yet it will linger in your head for many days...
