Review of After Hours (1985) by Ben F — 29 Jun 2008
A total masterpiece. I never enjoyed a movie as much as I enjoyed this one. the directing is magnificent. I loved the camera angles, the blurring, the forwarding of time..loved it all. oh and the music throughout this movie is just wonderful.
I love the way this movie starts like a record and then just keeps playing and playing..skipping and scratching, but always playing until the very end. it's full of sex and awkwardness..darkness and exasperation, but also laughter.
I laughed out loud I don't know how many times. this movie is reminiscent of the tarantino film, Four Rooms. it's so wrong, it's right.
