Review of After Hours (1985) by Brian R — 25 Dec 2009
I love this movie! it's funny, its wickedly weird, its creepy, and it also plays like a nightmare. Griffin Dunne plays very brilliantly as Paul Hackett who meets a weird(she looks high) girl named Kiki played by Rosanna Arquette. They meet a small cafe, she invites him over to her place, they smoke some pot and then thats where the film really starts working.
After watching After Hours I felt I just got off a wild roller coaster and cracking up with laughs. Whats interesting is all the characters Paul(Dunne) meets is somehow linked even if they are not suppose to know each other another is you get a sense of the paranoia and nightmares as Dunne journeys through the dark streets of SoHo New York. This is an awesome picture done by Scorsese.
