Review of After Hours (1985) by Dylon M — 26 Jan 2010
Martin Scorsese has more than proven that he is a goddamn good man! He can direct like nobody's business, and this is sure proof. Straying aside from his usual trademarks, After Hours is still a fantastic movie.
As always, you can still tell your watching Marty cook. The supporting roles makes this movie. From a sex-fiend/paper-mache enthusiast, to an insane waitress obsessed with our leading man. This is one of the most overlooked movies of the 80's.
And one of my favorite black comedies. Watching this man's life fall apart in one night is as aching as it is hilarious. Wait until about 1 in the AM and pop this in and watch yourself delve into this mixed up world.
After all "Different rules apply in After Hours".
