Review of After Hours (1985) by Garrett C — 08 Mar 2013
At first, I thought "After Hours" was going to be a bad sex comedy, what with the Henry Miller bits and all. But as Paul's evening continues little shadows of nightmare emerge, until we see what he is getting himself into.
"After Hours" is a brilliant, "Brazil" like black comedy about basically what everyone's worst fears are in an urban city. The atmosphere is this film's strongest suit, and the plot is very entertaining.
The events are so disastrous that the film is actually very tiring. "After Hours" is extremely inspiring, and couldn't be a better film.
