Review of After Earth (2013) by Damian S — 06 Jan 2014
I went into the theater, one rainy day after finishing work early, with no prior knowledge about the movie. What insued was the most boring, predictible, and nonsensical movie experience in my life. The movie would have gotten more stars if it branded itself as a comedy.
The weird and inconsistent accents, the terrible acting by Jaden Smith, the robotic direction of Will Smith's character, their stupid names, and the vast number of plot holes leave much to be desired; to say the least.
The funniest part was when the director's name came up during the credits. It all started to make sense after that.
