Review of After Death (1990) by Josh F — 25 Aug 2007
Worse than Zombie 3, which this movie has nothing to do with. The movie features the most generic cast ever to be seen in zombie movies: an ex-pornstar action hero, the archetypal crazy redneck who is always seen holding a gun, the invincible black guy who can withstand 5 fatal bullet shots before eventually dying an outrageous death, and the innocent white girl who suprisingly knows everything about zombie rituals.
The gore is close to Zombie 3, if not better, which is the only good thing I can find about this movie. It gets 5-stars for entertainment if you are with a bunch of buddies, but otherwise not worth your time, unless your goal is to watch all the movies in the "Zombi" series.
The theme song, however, played by a local Survivor cover band, will win you over on first listen.
