Review of Afghan Star (2008) by Margaret M — 25 Aug 2009
Saw it at a local film festival. This movie truly shows the cultural clashes in Afghanistan, and, interestingly, the first exposure to democracy for a whole generation. Although the documentary itself is not without flaws, and at times can even be confusing, it's a movie about HOPE, the hope of a nation that is trying to overcome years of Taliban rule.
