I'm a pretty open, artistic and adventurous viewer. I'm even Eastern European....however I found this a waste of time. Other than the great looking black and white, it did not work for me. Dry and subtle humor are my thing, but the ironies of Aferim, are not entertaining in any way.
It does a wonderful job of showing a grim historical existence.
