Review of Æon Flux (2005) by Stephane S — 26 Oct 2009
I still think the reason this movie could have been better if a man directed it. Sounds sexist I know, but it's missing that sexuality that ran rampant in the animated series and when it's missing you realize it was a part of what made the animated Aeon so fun to watch.
And I'm not talking random eye candy, some of it was ridiculous or very tongue-in-cheek or just downright funny. The casting was pretty good, the plot was ok I guess, but like it felt like it was missing the essence of the animated series and shorts.
Plus the atmosphere was too colorful. In the cartoon it was industrial and polluted and the setting in this didn't match.
