Review of Adventures in Babysitting (1987) by Latonya J — 08 Jan 2010
Ive been a big fan of 80s Elizabeth Shue ever since seeing her in karate kid, and thats why I checked this out, and in that area it works, shes a great lead, being very resourceful, nice, tough when she has to be, a good leader of the kids, and good looking to boot.
Other than her, theres not that much good else to say about this, all the other supporting characters are equally annoying in their own way, the events that happen get pretty stupid and contrived, and her bf in the beginning is like 32.
Its cool that it takes place in Chicago, tho they take lots of liberties with locations, and a good deal was filmed in toronto. Im glad Shue got her own movie, I just wish it was a better one.
