Review of Adventures in Babysitting (1987) by Shawn-Thomas F — 05 Jul 2010

A fantastic teen comedy from the late 80's as babysitter Chris has to take the kids she's been paid to look after for the evening into the city to pick up a friend in trouble. Everything starts to go wrong when the tyre of her car goes flat on the freeway and that's only the beginning of an eventful night for everybody.

The 80's were a great decade for teen and family movies and this was a fine example of one. It's got action, adventure and the comedy is just brilliant. The cast of characters is so likeable especially the little sister Sarah played by Maia Brewton. I would definitely say that this is an underrated gem featuring a very strong young cast. It's a typical exciting fun movie from the 80's which I heartily recommend. If you missed it when it was first released then go check it out.
