This is a very entertaining teenage film; it has a lot of good jokes: & a plot that keeps the viewer unaware of a lot of what will come next.

Chris Parker is a Chicago suburb senior high school damsel that has kept herself reserved for the right suitor. She believes it is her boyfriend Mike Toddwell (AKA So Cool). Set to have a big dinner date: at the start, of the film, she is surprised, Mike arrives, & cancels, because of what, he says-is, his sick, sister. Depressed by the news she has her friend Brenda over to cheer her up; Brenda on the verge of having a breakdown herself because of her step-mother tells Chris that he is lying to her. Chris is then asked by her mother if she would like to babysit Sara Anderson; Chris would rather just set at home & be depressed; sitting for the Andersons will depress anyone Brenda tells her & she changes her mind. (Being depressed will be the one thing that she will not find).

Brad is a high school freshman that has a crush on Chris; he is supposed to be spending the night with his friend Daryl Coopersmith, but when he hears from his sister that she got their mom to have Chris babysit her for the night he cancels without getting word to Daryl.

Shortly after arriving & expecting to settle down for a quiet night of babysitting Chris receives a call from Brenda; Brenda has gone over the edge by running away from home to the big downtown of Chicago. Frightened & knowing that her dad will punish her severely her only hope is for Chris to come & get her. Reluctant at first but feeling sympathy for her friend she decides to take the kids with her to insure their quietness. Before leaving Daryl shows up; to insure his quietness in the matter she agrees un-delightfully to let him come along. Thus begins their journey on what will be the greatest night of their lifes; it will have the twist & turns that will invigorate: scary, & give wonderful, delights.

I give this comedy family & kids film an A +.
