Review of Adventureland (2009) by David D — 29 Mar 2014

I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to. There were some great performances: Eisenberg is always brilliant, Stewart was actually pretty good and this was the best I've ever seen Reynolds. I honestly found all the characters to be engaging and three-dimensional.

The pace was often slow but it was lovely to watch and there was plenty of humour as well as pain. It was overall a pretty solid coming-of-age movie that ticked all the boxes for me. The only thing that I wasn't sold on was the ending.
