Summer is the time of fun and adventures. And in this indie movie all the excitement happens in Adventureland, a purposely named place, where teenagers try to earn some money, and in the meantime, rediscover their true hopes and dreams, as it seems.
Jesse Eisenberg gives a decent performance as a teenager, who through a series of bizarre encounters and with a little help of a troubled girl named Em (a faint Kristen Stewart), realizes that there s much more to life, as love and disappointment kick in almost simultaneously.
The movie is laughable at times, and the nostalgic feel gives this coming of age story a sweet and charming touch.
