Review of Adult Beginners (2014) by Matt H — 09 Sep 2015
Totally fails with what limited comedic elements it attempts, but I actually found myself invested in the story and characters. I thought there was a good relationship between Kroll and Byrne. Byrne especially stands out with her role, and her character's nothing new or original, but she really displays the humanity to that character with not all that much screen time.
Just one of those good performances that usually gets forgotten about. Kroll is also surprisingly human in this as well (only knew him from The League). Solid little movie with low ambitions.
