Review of Adoration (2013) by Petros K — 19 Sep 2013

I almost gave this a miss after reading the many negative reviews. I was attracted by the Doris Lessing pedigree and the pairing of Naomi Watts and Robin Wright. It was a very pleasant surprise - to call it soft porn is to do it a grave injustice and if that's what you are expecting you'll be disappointed anyway because the porn is very soft indeed.

The storyline is perfectly plausible in its context and since when does a movie have to be plausible anyway? The characters are well drawn and the plot is internally consistent. Yes they are are all supernaturally good looking but that's what makes it plausible in the first place.
