Review of Admission (2013) by David M — 24 Jun 2013
Of all the films I've seen in the cinema over the years, this was officially tge hardest to find. I couldn't find any times listed in the local Vue or Reel. Eventually, I found extremely limited times over a small set of days at the Odeon.
I wondered why this was the case. There are recognisable names like Paul Rudd and Tina Fey. The plot is also different from some of the other US college-based comedies. It didn't seem overly long either - which would be good for those with short attention spans.
The film had several genuine laughs and some decent comedic performances. Certain members of the supporting cast also put in some good performances. However, I wouldn't necessarily say that this was anything that you'd call 'standout' or 'special'.
This is something that you may want to get on DVD if you can find it. I enjoyed it.
