Having read the book, it was hard to imagine how this would be transposed to the screen successfully. The obvious non-obvious way is to simply take the book as a stepping stone and elaborate on it little by little until it reaches the crazied finale.
Great actors, witty screenplay, fantastic self-deprecating humor.
