A great film! It's particularly clever in the acting and in the plot. The whole thing is itself an example of Ouroboros. The film is a real brainteaser and a Spike Jonze kind of movie. It's a pretty good headscratcher with lots of comedic moments.
The whole thing makes you wonder how much of it is fiction and how much of it is reality. This is officially my favorite Nicolas Cage movie to date. He's great! Meryl Streep does good too, but i'm telling you Nic steals the screen.
You definitely don't need to watch Being John Malkovich to get the plot (the two are completely unrelated.) But you'd get a good feel for this kind of movie by watching a Spike Jonze classic like Being John Malkovich.
I heartily recommend it. This movie is a great movie!
