Review of Adaptation. (2002) by Alex M — 25 Jun 2013
Nicolas Cage, Meryl Streep, and Chris Cooper are all excellent - as is the rest of the supporting cast - but the story and characters were simply so odd that I had trouble investing emotionally in any of the characters (which I believe also took some weight off what could have been a very emotional ending).
Adaptation is still a success as a film, but I don't think I quite enjoyed its oddity as much as the ordinary viewer.
