A masterpiece! One of the best films of 2005! Anders Thomas Jensen's movie is an epic battle between good and evil. God works in mysterious ways and He will prevails if you keep believing in Him. Although I am an atheist, this movie provides a very compelling argument to keep the faith even in the most traumatic and adversarial circumstances.
All of the performances are genius and very memorable but Mads Mikkelsen shines in every scene as Ivan, the good and irrationally optimistic priest. Don't miss it! You will not regret it!
