Review of Adam's Apples (2005) by Julia J — 09 Sep 2009
Somewhat of an oddity, but not in a bad way, this brand of quirky black humour can only come out of Europe. Great performances from some of Denmark's best-known faces, with Thomsen and Mikkelsen acting as perfect foils to each other.
Mads, of course, is particularly memorable as the strange, pathetic and indestructible Ivan. Beautifully shot and wonderfully scored, this is somewhat of an undiscovered gem (at least here in the UK - I had to buy it in Copenhagen!).
