It's a bold move to use real life navy seals in a film. By doing this the directors risked a lot in the character development and acting but I found it to be very successful. More times than not, I find glamorized military films evoking tons of emotion through acting alone.
This is a great example of 'less is more' because you are drawn in to the raw emotion of this group of Navy Seals. It really made the film feel that much more real.
