Act of Valor is a movie based on fighting terrorism in the modern war on terror. The movie is based on a true story and seems to stay true to that story. The movie actors are all active duty Navy SEALS and they stay anonymous throughout the film. They couldn't even give away their true names in the credits. They had to keep this a secret to protect them and their families. U.S. Navy SEALS in combat are far more than anything Hollywood could ever write as Mike McCoy the co-director once said. My favorite genre of movie is war-based shooter films so this movie is right up my alley. I would suggest this movie to anyone as it is based on a true story and has great acting.

My reason for suggesting this film is because it stays true to the story line. They even had real Navy SEALS play the part of the actors. The film has a very great storyline that is portrayed very well. The film follows a modern storyline which is very easy for the viewer to follow. They are fighting off the same issues -- like the war on terror -- that you may hear about in the news each and every day.

Another reason for suggesting this film would have to be the realism that is portrayed. The special effects in this film are very advanced. They involve the actors actually doing things realistic to what would have actually happened. Just as another reviewer Chris Nashawaty said when the bullets are flying, Act of Valor is undeniably tense and thrilling. The gunshot wounds --and there's a lot of them -- look very real but they are not too gory for the viewer. They add to the realism of a war scene. The special effects used in this film were pretty incredible. They made you feel like it is an actual firefight going on.

Act of Valor is a really great patriotic film that creates a great feeling for every American watching. The movie shows our country's most elite forces fighting off terrorism. I would suggest this movie to anyone that would like to watch a film based on that of what actually happens out there today. The film is very influential for anyone especially due to how the world is today.
