Review of Across the Universe (2007) by Markd. — 04 Mar 2008

If you are old enough to have lived when this music was new and the country was definitely on edge from the Vietnam War, you will probably love this movie for all the memories it evokes. And some of the vignettes are musically and visually brilliant - Bono's "I am the Walrus" for example.

I can't help but think that it's less than stellar critical reception stems from the fact they did this with a virtually unknown cast (outside the few cameos). That must be a no-no.
