Review of Accepted (2006) by Andrew D — 10 Aug 2012
While it doesn't measure up to classic college comedies like Animal House and Revenge of the Nerds, Accepted is a hysterical and pretty good comedy. It stars Bartelby Gaines, who just got rejected from every single college he applied to.
So he does what every person does if that happens to them, they make a college up. The South Harmon Institute of Technology, to be specific! Soon, what was supposed to be just a trick for his parents so he can slack off the rest of his life, a whole bunch of freshmen show up at the "college's" doorstep.
Soon, new classes start popping up (Slacking 101, Doing Nothing, Skateboarding, etc.) and everyone is having the best time of their lives. Little do they know that the dean of Harmon College is trying to rennovate the school so that he can make Harmon a bit more decorative.
I definitely reccommend watching this film, especially if you're about to go to college yourself. It's a very funny movie and becomes a fun ride to watch the whole way through.
