Review of Accepted (2006) by Dann M — 01 Oct 2013
A brilliant screwball comedy, Accepted offers insightful commentary on the Ponzi scheme that is college. After having all his college applications rejected Bartleby Gains and his friends create a fake college, but their fake college soon becomes all too real when other rejected students enroll.
Starring Justin Long, Jonah Hill, Blake Lively, and Lewis Black the cast is quite good, and they do a great job at delivering the comedy. The writing is also especially impressive, and explores some provocative questions about the purpose of college and the nature of education.
Accepted is a hilarious cutting edge comedy that pulls no punches.
