Review of Accepted (2006) by Daniel A — 13 Apr 2012
A playful premise destroyed by the lack of credibility given to the story. Even allowing for the fact that this is a pretty brainless comedy, the liberties taken by the screenwriters' unwillingness to address any of the actual issues thrown up by plot hindered my enjoyment of the film throughout, as the suspension of disbelief was pushed beyond a point where I could ignore it.
Justin Long makes a worthy comedic lead, aided by a supporting cast of before-they-hit-the-big-time players including Blake Lively, Jonah Hill and Kellan Lutz. It's watchable but ultimately disappointing.
