Review of Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie (2016) by Mike M — 25 Jul 2016

I had high hopes but deep down I knew there was a good chance it would not live up to expectations. I think the movie is about 10 years late at least. The show has been around for 20 plus years so the characters hafve pretty mucvh done it all already.

Also when the show first came out this type of humor or comedy was fresh but since it has been done to death. Now that I got that out of the way I can say I enjoyed but didn't love and nor will it become a "gay cult classsic" ala Muriel Weddings or The Opposite of Sex or even Adventures of Priscilla .

But I smiled and laughed and the two leads actresses are great especially Joanna Lumley(can't believe she is 70). If your a fan go see it or rent it but don't expect too much.
