Review of Absolute Power (1997) by Tom R — 21 Jun 2010
Absolute Power has a great cast and great direction from star Clint Eastwood, but the thriller aspect is slow-going and unfortunately not as memorable as Eastwood's other thrillers like Play Misty for Me or Sudden Impact.
This does not mean the film is not engaging, but it seems like catching the President of the United States doing something very bad would have more at stake (but maybe I'm thinking too much about Enemy of the State).
It's a worth a viewing for the excellent cast and if you're interested in Eastwood as a director.
