Review of Absent (2011) by Scott R — 17 May 2014
This raised some very important social issues relating to fatherhood that affect all our lives and well beings. However, it was poorly presented and all I was left with was that there is a problem, many people have horrible stories to tell about it and that there is a self help group that goes to Mexico to fish and that can help sort your life out as a man/father.
I was especially confused by the credibility of many of the advice givers. I am not saying that their advice did not have truth in it, it was just unconvincingly presented. I guess because some of the people were famous gives them social credibility? There was also a religious undertone that was never quite explained.
