After seeing Daniel Day-Lewis as Lincoln, Benjamin Walker's Lincoln seems to be pathetic in all absurd ways that all you can feel is contempt. The only place where this film strikes is it's awkward but mildly interesting central premise. Dominic Cooper is not bad, Anthony Mackie and Rufus Sewell are wasted. Only Mary Elizabeth Winstead gives a convincing performance. The visual style is ok, but the visual effects are mostly awful. The editing and direction are mostly bad, but once the whole film is considered, these things are passable. Now what if this movie really clicked? could you imagine about a sequel to this one? Ya, I think Barack Obama: The Vampire Slayer would do!
