Review of Above the Rim (1994) by Buzz Q — 08 Aug 2009

I think this movie has the wrong impression from people. Its not really a basketball movie, it's the catalyst. Its really about the hood. Two stories, Kyle, who has a promising basketball career and a chance to escape the hood and Shep who has not learned to live with his past, which cost him his chance at basketball and to leave the hood.

I think its a pretty solid movie and the acting in decent overall.
