This film, unlike many time travel films out there, digs deep into the core of the insatiable, fundamental desire to become our 'better selves'. 'About Time' has successfully woven observations of the conceptions of mortality and daily emotional ordeals.
What emerges is both a testament to the extraordinary potential that we can attain genuine fulfilment -- amid the tedium of our mundane affairs -- through our persistence in making better choices. 'About Time' is a rather compelling reminder that there exists no worthy replacement for a prudent and tenacious mind -- not even the 'astonishing' ability to traverse the space-time continuum unscathed.
