Review of About Time (2013) by Raymond W — 21 Mar 2014
I...thought that I would not like this film. It is, after all, about a young man who can clench his fists in dark spaces and travel throughout his lifetime, manipulating others. But...I did. I liked it a lot.
It tugs on the strings a little, if you let it. More importantly, as silly as the premise may be, it follows its own rules, and it sticks to them well. Gleeson is a main character you'd eventually begin to question if he didn't have that Hugh Grant-esque unflappable charm.
It is a beautiful film, perfect to watch with someone who has caught your eye and enjoyed best with a glass of wine.
