Review of About Time (2013) by Morwenna V — 26 Feb 2014
"About Time" gets points for simply going a great deal further than I expected. It has themes that are genuinely relevant and they are shown in a surprising, sweet, and truly touching way. The characters are all incredible likable too which really added to the film.
Conceptually, this idea is brilliant. The film uses time travel to tell a love story but at the same time it tells the story of a boy and his relationship with his father. A great movie that might just even get a tear out of the toughest of audiences.
A great fantasy romance that goes the extra mile and earns props for it. I enjoyed this film and I actually predicted a lot incorrectly while watching it, so props on not being predictable as well. What can I say, this movie just got to me.
