Review of About Time (2013) by Niloo R — 21 Jul 2014
Witty dialogue, endearing characters and an interesting premise, but sadly not much beyond that. the film ultimately failed because it was crippled by its premise - having the protagonist go back in time meant that he could fix anything that went wrong and avoid any sense of conflict or obstacle.
there was never anything at stake, and everything always worked out perfectly, to the point where we as an audience, disengaged with the film.
