Review of About Last Night (2014) by Claudia T — 06 Oct 2014
This is a really weird idea. Instead of trying a new adaptation of David Mamet's "Sexual Pervesity in Chicago", remake the tepid 1986 film version that starred Rob Lowe, Demi Moore and Jim Belushi .
.. and that pretty much nobody fondly remembers. (The screenplay was written by Tim Kazurinsky for heaven's sake) Why remake this film? For what it's worth, it's not exactly worse than the original, but Michael Ealy is miraculously less charismatic than Rob Lowe and Kevin Hart manages to be a bigger asshole than Jim Belushi.
You didn't really need to see the 1986 film and you don't need to see this one.
