Greasy 80s cheesiness & excessive use of montages aside (11 by my count), I think this movie still holds up. It's a great example of how easy it is for relationships to go sour, primarily due to couples who don't know how to communicate with one another.
Before deciding to commit to any kind of long-term relationship, I would recommend 'About Last Night...' (the 1986 version) to everyone (including myself) - and that's in spite of Demi's still-obviously-from-the-play-line (while turning on a lamp), "Do you mind? Good.
Cuz I think we've been in the dark long enough.".
