The main glue of a romantic comedy is the chemistry between the leading couple, no matter how clichd the plot a good chemistry can save the film, luckily this films plot doesnt need saving and even if it did wow are Rob Lowe and Demi Moore perfect for each other.

The acting is superb and narrative is brilliant. Breaking up the dramatic scenes with comedy with Belushis perfectly pitched jokes is a grea technique. The soundtrack and score are great and fully immerse you into the film.

There are a few cliched moments but it is mostly an original film which achieves its purpose and sets the benchmark for rom coms of its time.
