An ensemble cast that hit above and beyond the necessary notes of their performances bring more dimension to this film. The film has a good script but most of the work is done by the actors. "About Alex" is well directed and conceptually is very similar to films like "The Big Chill" is still enjoyable.

The characters may resonate with many viewers because of the great acting, at least one character may be someone everyone knows. I did like the film but I didn't love it and honestly I really wanted to.
