A stellar supporting cast and okay action don't come close to compensating for Sharkboy's complete lack of personality, charisma or acting ability. Also, the story, which looks at first to be going in a pretty interesting and unique direction, ends up taking the generic, predictable route.
John Singleton is totally phoning this one in.
